On a quiet afternoon, when the sunlight slanted just right through the tall windows of the town library, thirteen-year-old Eli noticed something strange.
A book was out of place.
That alone wasn’t unusual—people mis-shelved books all the time—but this one seemed… deliberate. It sat halfway out from the shelf, as if inviting attention. Its spine bore no title, only a small symbol: a compass whose needle spun endlessly.
Eli glanced toward the front desk. Mrs. Harrow, the librarian, was busy stamping returns.
He pulled the book free.
The cover was warm.
Inside, the first page read:
“To find the treasure, you must follow the story of time itself. Each chapter holds a clue. Each clue unlocks the next.”
